- TBD - Arpad: Review the documentation (annotation) in the macro libraries. - Deferred until a demand arises or we have nothing else to do ------------- New Discussion: Arpad showed the ATM Progress Report for the IBIS Summit at DesignCon: - This has not been sent to the group for review as planned - There are unresolved questions - It has a cover page and one slide - Bob: The cover page should have author and date - Arpad: Will this be incorporated into another presentation? - Bob: No, it is separate - Mike: The long URL might be shortened somehow - Bob: The interconnect group might tackle EBD/EMD - Arpad: It should be said that someone will get to that Walter showed the AMI amendment BIRD draft: - Fangyi asked by email about passing of TxDCD - Two lines address this - All examples of strings now have double quotes - Arpad: Usually quotes are not used for string literals - Walter: Description must have a value with double quotes -Page 15: Rx_Clock_PDF (probability distribution function) - Can't make the PDF a function of process corner - The PDF parameter is hard to use - New parameters suggested: - A paragraph has been added for Rx_Clock_Recovery_Mean - Mike: How about Rx_Clock_Recovery_Mean_Offset - Arpad: Is it nominal bit time or actual? - Walter: Bit time is passed to the DLL - Arpad: The actual bit time at RX can be different - Walter: The nominal bit time is used - Fangyi: "0.5*bit time" should be clarified - Walter changed to "Center of Eye" - Rx_GetWave does not return clock ticks for Usage Info or Out - Walter: The new method is more clear than DjRj - There are different distributions for Dj - This area should be studied in detail - It could be addressed in a second pass - Fangyi: We do not need to distinguish Dj from Rj - Only a distribution function is needed - Walter: We need to know what all the parameterized distributions are - Fangyi: There are just a few to cover - Page 15: Rx_Receiver_Sensitivity - Arpad: Is the eye diagram supposed to be collapsed toward the centerline? - Walter: This tells the EDA tool how to process results - It is used in clock recovery loops - Also for BER analysis - Fangyi: The EDA tool will apply Gaussian jitter around the eye center - What is the appropriate way? - Walter: We can't restrict how EDA tools process the data - Rj has tails, DJ has no tails - Mike: Some parameters have Rx_ and Tx_ prefixes, but not others - Walter: Those are used consistently for parameters - The confusion may be over references to Tx GetWave and Rx GetWave. - Arpad: Rx_Receiver seems redundant here - Page 17: Tap parameter names are numbers - Special parameters Limit and Scale are added as checks - Array satisfies how IBM handles taps - Fangyi asks if leaf order should give the tap numbers - Arpad: How do we handle hysteresis? - There are different conventions about the X state - Walter: We should expand on this at some point - Page 18: Example shows relationship between .ami and DLL string Next meeting: 9 Feb 2009 12:00pm PT -------- IBIS Interconnect SPICE Wish List: 1) Simulator directives
